Within the framework of the presentation of the first modernized Hughes 500D at the Aeroparque Military Air Station, the Argentine Air Force also had the opportunity to present the sixth Beechcraft TC-12B Huron incorporated by the Institution, in order to increase its light transport and link capabilities, as for the training of specialty pilots.
The aircraft in question is the TC-12B Huron registration “TC-111”, which will arrive in the country during the month of February to subsequently undergo various recovery and painting works in the Río Cuarto Material Area. As could be seen in its fuselage, the aircraft will be destined for the III Air Brigade located in the city of Reconquista, province of Santa Fe.
To date, the Argentine Air Force has completed the incorporation of six (6) TC-12B Huron out of a total of twelve (12) from the stocks of the United States Navy (US Navy). To these must be added two additional units destined for the Naval Aviation Command of the Argentine Navy; which has already incorporated its first aircraft last year. Thus, the Argentine Armed Forces are already halfway through the process of incorporating these transportation systems.
As for the previous Huron of the Air Force, they have been assigned to the II Air Brigade of Paraná in order to be used in the training of pilots in the transport specialty; while TC-114 has been assigned to the BAM Morón, province of Buenos Aires, and TC-112 to the V Air Brigade of Villa Reynolds, province of San Luis.
