Insecurity in the city of Santa Fe makes no difference when it comes to acting. This Wednesday, around 7 p.m., the San José de los Agustinos Recoletos Parish was the scene of an unusual robbery: an intrepid thief took the bicycle of one of the faithful while mass was being celebrated.

It should be noted that, unfortunately, this is not the first time that these situations have occurred in the religious building located on 3000 Santiago del Estero Street, in front of Plaza Constituciónntes.

The church’s security cameras show that an individual entered the temple, and went to the entrance hall where Franco’s bicycle, the person harmed by the theft, was located.

“I arrived at the parish around 7:15 p.m. because I had a training course. I took the bicycle to the entrance hall, and I left it there,” he told El Litoral.

Upon leaving the parish hall, Franco realized that his bicycle was not where he had left it, and began to inquire with his companions to see if someone had moved it for other reasons.

“I consulted with Luis, the parish priest of the church, to see if we could observe the security cameras,” added the victim. As seen in the footage, the victim clarified that the thief entered the temple with the sole objective of taking the vehicle.

“It is very likely that the man who stole my bicycle was alerted by someone from outside who saw me enter the parish,” he mentioned in his testimony. Furthermore, to conclude, he pointed out that it is a conjecture formed by the thief’s movements, since he goes directly to his bicycle.
