The Ministry of Human Development, Local Governments and Women invites the community to participate in the regional urban, cultural and sports festival to be held next Sunday, June 9, from 3 p.m., in the Ciudad Deportiva (located at Lanín 1900 in Neuquén).

The event is organized through the Secretariats of Sports and Youth and Culture, Community Management and Women.

In this regard, the Secretary of Sports and Youth, María Fernanda Villone, announced that the day will have a stand for young entrepreneurs, informative talks and various sports and cultural proposals.

“With the support that we are providing from the different areas of Government, we are committed to consolidating this activity throughout the provincial territory,” said Villone.

He highlighted that “urban festivals are becoming increasingly relevant and are very important, not only to encourage community participation, but also to strengthen the relationship between their members and continue building citizenship.”

For his part, the Undersecretary of Sports, Ignacio Russo, pointed out that “taking into account the growth of urban sports at a national and international level, from the Undersecretary of Sports of the province we have made the decision to create a specific area where address these disciplines. “This is the kickoff for the comprehensive development of urban sports in the province, where we have to listen and be aware of what society and the sports community are asking for.”

Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of Youth, Carolina Cárdenas highlighted: “We believe it is extremely important that adolescents and young people know that the doors of the Sports City are open to generate this type of initiatives that generate a positive impact. The main objective is to encourage the construction of social relationships with people who share the same interests and values.”

Schedule of activities

The schedule is projected for the entire day, with a broad agenda in which movement and artistic aesthetics will merge in an intense activity.

At 10 in the morning, the pre-qualification for the BMX, freestyle rap and breaking competitions is scheduled to begin, with a program that will continue in the afternoon in different qualifying and final stages.

At 3:00 p.m., the entrepreneur stands will open and at the same time, the classes and free demos of the different disciplines will begin, as well as the finals and competition awards.

In addition, there will be 3×3 basketball tournaments in the men’s free category and free classes for beginners in chess, parkour, slackline, quad skate, urban roller, aggressive rollers, climbing (with the inauguration of a wall for beginners) and fabric acrobatics.

It is not an exclusive condition to have previous experience in the discipline, since free classes will be given for beginners of all ages.

The closing will be at 7 p.m., with the participation of young singers and guest artists.
