The strong collision between a bus against several vehicles and a bakery left several people injured.

After the delicate accident this Thursday recorded in commune 9, in which they were involved vehicles, motorcycles, two cars and a bus which collided with a part of the facade of a bakery, The Ministry of Health informed the Ibagueño community about the status of the 10 people who were injured in this unfortunate event.

“Ten patients in total, six of them women. The ages range from one to 78 years of age, two of them minors between one and 8 years of age; Additionally, eight of them were vehicle occupants and two pedestrians. “All of them present multiple traumas, both to the skull, cervical region, upper limbs, and wounds to the face, which will be evaluated by the team of healthcare personnel of this IPS,” said Liliana Ospina, secretary of this agency.

Ospina emphasized that the Mayor’s Office will continue to pay attention to the medical evolution of the patients and will provide due support to their families in this recovery process.

Although, at the moment, the causes of the accident are a matter of investigation, some hypotheses are being put forward. One of them reports a possible discomfort that the bus driver had when driving, an aspect that could have influenced the loss of control of the steering wheel.

Some security cameras in the area captured the moments of anguish of passers-by and merchants, who were trying to help the injured. Among them, the driver, who was unconscious and trapped between the cans as a result of the impact.
