The driver ended up injured.
On the afternoon of this Friday, June 7, the Puerto Aysén Fire Department was alerted by a vehicle fire on the Presidente Ibáñez bridge, located in the Ribera Sur sector of the city.
As indicated by the victim to the Puerto Aysén Fire Department, the accident began after being collided by another vehicle. Seconds later his car broke down and started to catch fire.
The man managed to get out of his car, but he was still injured, so he was treated by SAMU personnel who arrived at the emergency. He was then transferred to a care center.
The two Firefighters units arrived at the scene and controlled the emergency, despite this, the car ended up being completely destroyed.
The causes of the accident are under investigation by the commune’s Firefighters and Police.
