May and June appointments of companies in Colombia

The National Federation of Business Merchants (Fenalco), Ikea, Scotiabank Colpatria, Iris Neofinanciera, Batten, Barton, Durstine and Osborn (BBDO), LLYC and Citi announced changes in their organizations, with the appointment of new leaders who will reinforce and strengthen their operations and the administrative management of their companies.

The board of directors of Fenalco Bogotá has a new member: Marcela Ramírez Sarmiento, head of corporate affairs and sustainability at OXXO Colombia, who comes to the organization with the aim of promoting commercial development in the region.

“Thanks to my experience at OXXO, I have been able to witness the importance of promoting a private sector committed to the economic growth of Bogotá and Cundinamarca. I hope to add ideas that build a sustainable, awake and dynamic trade, that lives up to the needs of a region that does not stop”said Ramírez regarding his new position.

Marcela Ramírez is a lawyer from the National University of Colombia and has a master’s degree in law from the University of the Andes. She has acquired vast experience in different executive positions in entities such as the Ministry of Finance, Salud Total EPS, Crédito Público, Acueducto de Bogotá, among others.

With the announcement of the opening of the third store of the multinational Ikea in Colombia, which will be located in the Viva Envigado Shopping Center, Carlos Eduardo Ocampo Silva was appointed manager of the Ikea store in Antioquia.

The Colombian group with businesses in banking, insurance, construction, mining, Scotiabank Colpatria, appointed in recent days the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Diana West, who must develop actions to position the bank in Colombia as a financial entity with a deeper connection with your customers.

Iris Neofinanciera has a new president in charge: Alejandro Verswyvel, who has more than 20 years of experience in development and administration of financial businesses, transformation and innovation processes, scaling and value creation in Refinancing, Helm and Bancolombia.

The advertising agency BBDO appointed the current CEO, Marcelo Arango, as a member of the global Board of the communication and marketing network. In this way, the executive will focus on leading the performance of all Latin American operations.
