The 8th Federal Meeting of the National Nursing Program (Pronafe) was held at the headquarters of the National Institute of Technical Education (INET), with the participation of higher education institutions from Entre Ríos.

The conference was held in Buenos Aires and was aimed at teachers, directors and representatives of the 24 jurisdictions of the country. The event was led by the Secretary of Education of the Nation, Carlos Torrendel; the Executive Director of INET, Ludovico Grillo; and the National Coordinator of Pronafe, Gabriel Muntaabski.

More than 11 higher education institutes were present from the province, accompanied by technical representatives from the Directorate of Technical Professional Education and the Directorate of Secondary Education of the General Council of Education (CGE).

“Professional practices constitute the primary field of training in Health Sciences,” said Ana Rougier, technical reference for the Directorate of Professional Technical Education of the CGE. And he added: “At Pronafe we promote the idea of training more and better nurses, promoting the optimization of tools to define objectives, implement, monitor and evaluate these practices in the Higher Nursing Technician, thus guaranteeing their continuous improvement.”

During the event, key Pronafe statistics were discussed, showing a 26% increase in the number of students enrolled in the 279 participating institutions. Likewise, topics such as technical backpacks, Progresar scholarships and permanent training were addressed, the latter through the innovative Pronaffe APP, which seeks to be a comprehensive learning strategy.

In addition, the New pedagogical approaches to Professionalizing Practices were discussed, highlighting their importance in the training of health professionals.

It should be noted that Pronafe was created on August 23, 2016, through resolution CFE No. 290/16 of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, and implemented by the INET. Its main objective is to increase the quantity and quality of nurses in the country through various lines of action.
