In the Pueblito de Los Andes district, in the municipality of Nueva Granada, Magdalena, the National Police, through the Gaula in coordination with officials from the intelligence section, managed to capture alias ‘Palm‘, who would be alleged coordinator of extortions of ‘Gulf Clan‘ in the Magdalena.
The detainee, according to the official report, would be the trusted man of alias ‘Aurelius‘, financial leader of the front “Sergio Antonio Carrascal Gómez” of this criminal structure, in the central area of the Department.
“Alias ’Palma’, security coordinator of the movements of the leader and financier of this front, has a criminal history of more than five years and would be in charge of profiling farmers, ranchers and businessmen so that they would be victims of extortion by this front multicrime”, indicated Colonel Javier Alberto Duarte Reyes, commander of the Magdalena Police Department.
The authorities indicated that in addition to these criminal actions, alias ‘Palm‘, also coordinated and organized the extortion meetings of alias ‘Aurelio’ in the Central Subregion of the Department, in order to generate anxiety, constraint and extortion to the different economic sectors of the jurisdiction.

In the middle of the police procedure, they found the arrested person, a revolver and five 38-millimeter caliber cartridges, a motorcycle and pamphlets alluding to the ‘Gulf Clan’.
