“The felt earthquakes are phenomena contemplated in the yellow alert state, as well as the formation of domes, cracks in the glacier, low-energy thermal anomalies, noises, among others. “It is recommended that the authorities and the community continue to be attentive to any change that may occur in the activity of the volcano,” detailed the Geological Service.
Scientists have not been able to obtain images of what is happening at the top of the volcano, due to high cloud cover and rainy season that have affected that area, making it difficult to access information from some of the technical monitoring equipment available there.
Despite the limitations, the Geological Survey stated that “the data obtained through other monitoring techniques They do not show changes at the moment.”
