At the age of 54, the renowned acrobatic pilot Cristian Grecca died this Saturday, after the small plane with which he was carrying out maneuvers in Entre Ríos crashed to the ground. The sad news sent aviation fans into mourning and He recalled his time in the region, when he participated in the Allen festival in 2023.

Grecca had a long history of driving and He was the president of the Paraná Aeroclub, in whose vicinity the plane accident that cost him his life occurred this afternoon. He was also a flight instructor at that institution.

He had started piloting at a very young age, at 19 years old. In an interview with the media Paraná towards the world, said that in his first class of the course he felt afraid. “The first thought I had was ‘Who told me to be up here’. And I remember that because that one totally stuck in my mind. feeling of insecurity. I had it the first two or three flights”he recalled.

In 1994 he graduated as a private pilot and since then, he has never left the activity that he was so passionate about, having experiences as a commercial pilot, glider tug and aerial applicator.

However, what attracted him most was aerial acrobatics.a discipline that he began practicing towards the end of 2006 and that took him, last year, to the Allen air festival, a traditional event in the Upper Valley.

On his Facebook account, in fact, he had shared images of his flight with a colleague to the Rio Negro town, in which he participated with his acrobatics in the air. What was the tragic accident like?


The tragic incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. today, when Grecca was flying over the flying club that he presided over. At that moment, preliminary reports indicated, his aircraft lost lift, went into a dive and It ended up hitting an open area. After the collision, It caught fire completely.

Three teams of firefighters and members of the provincial police arrived at the scene of the accident. that removed the victim’s body and moved forward with the first measures regarding the investigation of the incident, the causes of which are currently unknown.

The identity of the pilot was confirmed by the secretary of the Paraná Aeroclub, Diego Martínez.
