Chili will play one last friendly match before focusing fully on the America Cupin a duel where he will face Paraguay in the National Stadium and that can be enjoyed on Star+ screens.
Ricardo Gareca, coach of La Roja, has already completed a week of practice with his players and would have a large part of the team defined for the match that will be played from 8:00 p.m. next Tuesday, June 11.
His only doubts would be who will take Darío Osorio’s placeas the Midtjylland midfielder is recovering from an injury, and decide on the pair of central defenders that will test against the Guaraníes.
In the Chilean defense, the main alternatives would be the names of Paulo Díaz, Igor Lichnovsky and Guillermo Maripánwhere the latter has trained differently to regain physical fitness in relation to the rest of his teammates.
On the other hand, in the last practice on Friday, Chile used two formations for each half.
The first was with Gabriel Arias in goal; Mauricio Isla, a sparring partner, Igor Lichnovsky and Thomas Galdámes in defense; Rodrigo Echeverria, César Pérez and Diego Valdés in midfield; Alexis Sánchez, Ben Brereton Díaz and Víctor Dávila on offense.
While the second alternative was with Claudio Bravo in goal; Felipe Loyola, Matías Catalán, a sparring partner and Gabriel Suazo in defense; Erick Pulgar, Marcelino Núñez and Maximiliano Guerrero in the middle zone; Cristian Zavala, Eduardo Vargas and Marco Bolados in attack.
In this way, for Tuesday’s duel it could be expected that Gareca will decide on one of the two formations (taking out the sparring partner), or use a mixture of both to take the field at the Nacional.
