On more than one occasion, social networks have been “flooded” with photos and videos of confrontations between neighbors due to differences. This problem has raised alarms among the authorities and unions of the horizontal property, taking into account that it would have its genesis in ignorance of the rules that regulate.
So far this year, in the department –according to the Horizontal Property Market– Around 96 complaints have been received about bad coexistence, of which around 60 correspond to criminal complaints. This figure exceeds the averages of previous semesters.
According to the records, the sectors with the most problems of this type in the Atlantic capital are Caribe Verde, Alameda del Río and the municipalities of Soledad and Malambo.
Katy Orozcomanager of a firm in charge of managing several complexes and buildings, said that in recent days the case of a resident of a residential complex in Caribe Verde who hit the deputy administrator of the place went viral because a “diversion” of energy.

“Energy costs were very high in some apartments, so the owners asked for a review; This made it clear that other homes had connected to their networks and therefore consumption increased,” said Orozco.
He reported that moments before the attack, the deputy administrator went to the apartment to ask the owners to come to her office to talk about what had happened: “The door was opened by a woman, who responded that she had already let him know the situation to her husband because he was the one in charge of the services and then from one moment to the next this lady came down and caught the administrator off guard.”
Orozco asserted that these are residents who have persisted in different events that have resulted in altering coexistence.
“They do not pay the administration fee, they threaten the security guards when the padlock plan is made, which is what prevents them from having access to the communal parking lot. It seems quite complex to me and the construction companies do not provide us with support in these situations,” she emphasized.
