The scores of Argentina vs. Ecuador, with Di María as a figure

In the final stretch towards the Copa América, the light blue and white team won 1-0 in Chicago against La Tri. Di María was the great figure – goal included – and Cuti Romero stood out, becoming an assistant.

Emiliano Martínez – 6

They almost didn’t reach him. He was very attentive to cut off a dangerous attack, avoiding a penalty.

Gonzalo Montiel – 6

Good match. He closed his side well and projected himself well and with judgment.

Cristian Romero – 7

The same beast as always. He wins all of his duels, he imposes such a presence that he begins to give the impression that his rivals are avoiding him. He puts together the play for Di María’s goal as if it were a hook. Leader.

Lisandro Martínez – 6

Correct and neat game by Lisandro. They didn’t let him drive so much at the start. He almost scored a goal with a volley but Galindez prevented it with an impressive save.

Marcos Acuña – 6

Energetic as usual, comfortable to play and without difficulty marking his zone.

Rodrigo De Paul – 6

Determined to be verbose in tenure, very annoying at the friction that Ecuador proposed.

Leandro Paredes – 6

He stopped well from 5, master of each start, and without suffering, except in a couple of plays, from the great skill of Kendry Páez.

Giovani Lo Celso – 6

He sought to be a handle, he was never static but he did not manage to finish with danger nor to assist.

Ángel Di María – 8 ★

Ace of spades until he left his place for Messi. He scored a very nice goal, hitting a free kick on the crossbar. He keeps trying to put the two of them together.

Lautaro Martínez – 6

Since the ball didn’t reach the area as much, he threw himself back but the goal was always far away. He had a very clear head before leaving but it went into the hands of Galindez.

Julián Álvarez – 6

He ran them all, he created chances more for others than for himself.

Enzo Fernandez – 6

He came in lucid to read the game but imprecise to control two very clear balls that Messi and Julián gave him. Later he became the central midfielder.

Lionel Messi – 6

The entire stadium waiting for your entry. He made some passes typical of him although he didn’t have any to convert his usual goal.

  • Lucas Martínez Quarta, Ángel Correa, Exequiel Palacios and Nicolás González they didn’t add up to enough minutes to be evaluated.
