In Córdoba, the Association of Teachers and Researchers of the University of Córdoba (Adiuc) will march towards the Superior Council of the National University of Córdoba (UNC) this Tuesday, to request the support of the authorities; and on Wednesday the 12th they will mobilize to reject the draft Base Law, together with other union and social organizations.
In this way, this Front that brings together the workers of the higher education institutions “rejects the delaying practices of the National Government of the salary conflict in national universities,” as expressed in a statement signed by the CONADU, the Historical CONADU, the Fedun, the Ctera, the Fagdut, FATUN and the UDA.
“The minister (Sandra) Pettovelloin the last joint meeting, promised to process the funds before the economy and did not comply,” denounces this Front.
“He promised a proposal that contemplates the recognition of salary loss, the updating of the salary guarantee, a monthly increase pattern according to inflation and training funds, and to date he has not offered any proposal,” they emphasize.
“Let’s defend the salaries of workers at national universities. Without decent salaries there is no public university possible,” she concludes.

Tuesday June 11th

Action in rejection of the “Bases Law”. Within the framework of its treatment in the Senate, union and social organizations of Córdoba will define a joint action that will be communicated in a timely manner. A little more than a month after the historic Federal University March, the workers of public universities continue to demand a proposal that reverses a salary deterioration that is unprecedented due to its magnitude and speed. The government announced an increase in allocations for operating expenses, which represent 10% of the total university budget. We demand that the update percentage assigned for operating expenses be extended to university salaries immediately. This amount, far from implying a salary improvement, would barely allow us to recover the purchasing power that our salaries had in November 2023.
