Given his great moment after leaving the U, a youth player could return to the club. He’s only been out for three months.

University of Chile continues to advance in its transfer market. While waiting for new reinforcements, Gustavo Álvarez’s team has in mind the incorporation of a forward for the second semester. Curiosity? He was already part of the team before the arrival of the current coaching staff.

That is the case of Christopher Muñoz. According to information collected by BOLAVIP CHILE, the 22-year-old attacker could return to the U for the second round of the local tournament. He is on loan at Deportes Santa Cruz, but this contract could have an early end.

One more option for the competition that exists in the Universidad de Chile offensive. At the moment, the coaching staff has Cristián Palacios, Luciano Pons and Nicolás Guerra fighting to be the attacking reference. The last mentioned could leave the institution in this market.

For now, nothing concrete, but the winds are pointing in that direction. It should be noted that in this pass book, the regulations allow up to three players to be added. In the case of Muñoz Nieri, he would not use a quota when returning from a loan: his transfer still belongs to the blue team.

Cristóbal Muñoz can return to the University of Chile.

The striker that the University of Chile is looking for

Why would the U decide to go for its youth player? Due to his great moment in First B. He emigrated at the beginning of the season with the need to add more minutes in professionalism and, for now, he has achieved it. He has played 10 games and has scored four times.

Such a record exceeds what he achieved at the University of Chile. He debuted in March 2021 for the Copa Libertadores and after that he only played in eight games before his departure in 2024. In that period, he also contributed to the blues’ under-21 category.

When does the U play?

The U’s next match will be against Municipal Puente Alto for the Chile Cup. It will be played on Monday, June 17, from 7:00 p.m., at the National Stadium.
