Justices of Chaco and Corrientes signed an agreement on computer security and software development – ​​CHACODIAPORDIA.COM

The presidents of both STJ were present at the ceremony: Víctor del Río and Luis Eduardo Rey Vázquez, along with their peers: Emilia María Valle (president of JUFEJUS) and Enrique Varela, for Chaco; and Fernando Niz and Guillermo Semhan for Corrientes. The heads of the information technology departments of the two provinces also attended: Daniel Chapo and Santiago Carniel.

The agreement establishes a framework of institutional cooperation for reciprocal assistance in the promotion and execution of projects and tasks related to areas of common and general interest between the parties. It will also allow the development of policies, work actions and joint collaboration tasks.

The collaboration will include the complementation of efforts and the necessary contributions for the best fulfillment of the purposes, conditioned on the material and economic possibilities of the parties. It will be implemented gradually as circumstances require.
Del Río recalled that the Corrientes judiciary was the first to help Chaco when the hack occurred in January 2022 and reviewed the achievements and reforms implemented from that moment on.

In addition, he commented that Chaco signed a similar agreement with the justice of San Juan and highlighted the importance of the Federal Institute of Innovation, Technology and Justice (IFITEC) of JUFEJUS.

Valle, for his part, stated that “every crisis is an opportunity” and assured that other institutions, such as the Córdoba justice system, went to the STJ of Chaco to learn from their experience when they suffered hacks.

While he considered it unavoidable to work together with Corrientes, Formosa and Misiones, because “it is essential to strengthen the NEA region, because it is a region with many links and common features.”

Then, they toured the facilities of the Corrientes IT department. There, Carniel commented on the work they do, as well as the plans they currently have in development and future plans.
