The news about the documentary that will be recorded Fabiola Yanez about her performance as first lady and the controversial Olive Tree Festival that took place in the midst of a pandemic and confinement unleashed a wave of reactions. Emanuel López, one of the participants at that birthday dinner and a former friend of Yáñez, decided to speak and give his version of what happened. In an exclusive interview with journalist Nicolás Pizzi for the Infobae portal, he asked that the protagonist of the story “tell the whole truth” because “telling half-truths is lying.”

López lives in Mexico. Since he participated in the party he has been involved in a legal case from which he has not yet emerged. “From that moment on, each one prioritized and took care of his interests,” he recalled and added: “Everything that was happening there in Olivos was unsustainable. The climate was already very tense and over the months everything got worse. Working in the Presidency was a nightmare for me. Only God knows what I experienced.”

The man was in charge of communication, protocol and ceremonial at Casa Rosada. He also worked in Fabiola’s security. “I was never an advisor to anything or anyone. And unlike what is believed… they were very intense months. Working day and night. Without schedules. Almost without rest. Anyone from all areas of the Presidency who worked with me “They know very well what a good and respectful companion I was with everyone,” he said.

Regarding his participation in the Olivos Festival, he explained: “I physically worked at the Quinta de Olivos. It was the place that was indicated to me from the beginning. Practically every day I had to attend in person. The invitation was made by Mrs. (Yañez) At that time I had to preserve my position since it was my main source of income. I couldn’t lose my job. I buried my father a few weeks before that event, on May 9, 2020. He died after being there for twelve days. intensive therapy. Imagine that personally I had nothing to celebrate or celebrate. It was very painful, for me and my entire family.”

“It was a meeting of a couple of hours in the main dining room where all the work meetings were held. There was no music. If I remember correctly, we had paella for dinner. There was a toast. We cut the cake and not much else. The same employees were there as “I saw it every day in the kitchen of the presidential chalet. There was no special catering. The photo was taken by one of the people who helped with the service. I remember it as a boring night. ” , he added.

Regarding the role of Alberto Fernández, he said: “He arrived, he was completely surprised. I don’t think he even knew about the meeting. He opened the door, sat down, had a quick dinner and went to rest. It must have been a few minutes.”

Since that night his bond with Fabiola Yáñez was broken. “We had a friendship of more than 20 years. The photo of the olive festival It was the straw that broke the camel’s back. From that moment each one prioritized and took care of their interests. I haven’t had contact for several years now. The bond was broken. They were two decades of friendship thrown away. I am a free person. I do not owe anybody anything. Each one lives their experience and travels their journey as best they can. I am professional, honest, and have been working since I was a teenager. I don’t enjoy benefits. I did my entire journey alone, without anyone’s help. “There are many people in Argentina who know me.”
