Corrientes activated the Salud en tu Casa 2024 program

Health agents, health promoters and obstetricians visit homes in different cities to detect people at risk and thus enter them into the health system.

The provincial government, through the Ministry of Public Health, launched today and for the second consecutive year, the Salud en Tu Casa program, a strategy that aims to strengthen accessibility to the system, guarantee controls, studies, diagnosis and monitoring .

This is a Primary Health Care (PHC) plan, designed by Minister Ricardo Cardozo, together with Undersecretary Alicia Pereira, through which health agents, health promoters and obstetricians visit house to house in the different neighborhoods to detect patients with diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, types of Cancer and pregnancies, and thus enter them into the health system.

Today, Monday, June 10, it began in the cities of Riachuelo, San Lorenzo, Goya, Garaví, Curuzú Cuatiá, Mocoretá and Itá Ibaté and runs until Friday the 14th.


“It is a program that we carry out following the guidelines of Governor Gustavo Valdés, to strengthen the health system, in which we work jointly between APS of the Province and the municipalities,” said the Minister of Public Health, Ricardo Cardozo.

“The main objective is to travel throughout the province and for the promoters, who go house to house, to dedicate themselves to the risk factors so that later the health agents, doctors and nurses of each place continue with each work,” he explained. part of the Undersecretary of Primary Health Care, Alicia Pereira.

In this sense, he highlighted that “we do a tremendous job with the Undersecretary’s team to be able to be in seven locations in the same week, and through this coordination we also managed to decompress the primary hospitals.”


The initiative began in February 2023 and was recognized nationally. Last year, Salud en Tu Casa reached 62 locations and around 180 thousand people were visited by the promoters.
