The Canadian Pacific Kansas City company decided to return the “Emperatriz” machine to Canada, hauled by a modern locomotive and on a discreet route without public access.

The locomotive entered Potosí territory yesterday at 11:00 a.m. and was immediately sent for maintenance to the workshop known as the Round House, in the company’s facilities.

Unlike the arrival from the United States, when the locomotive circulated at the front and with its own engines, now it is mobilized in a convoy that can leave at any time to travel through the plains and mountain ranges, until reaching the border in Nuevo Laredo.

Throughout the journey, the railway company has omitted to disseminate official calendars, as well as entry and exit times, the measure was taken for safety reasons due to the people crossing the road and the fatal accident in the state of Hidalgo.

In the case of San Luis Potosí, the majority of those who admired the locomotive behaved well, and the drivers did not battle with those who crossed the road.

The people of Potosí saw the locomotive as it entered the area called “Las Terceras” on Sunday, June 3, and on Tuesday morning they witnessed the departure towards Mexico, always in order.

Yesterday, the locomotive remained locked in the Round House and without access to personnel not related to maintenance.
