At a checkpoint carried out by the Neiva metropolitan police, a man was captured who was traveling on a motorcycle, and who, upon noticing the police presence, fled and was captured meters later.
According to Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the metropolitan police, he stated that “this subject, when he saw the police presence, fled the scene trying to search the wooded area, where the men of the institution arrived and captured him. “We are investigating the origin of the weapons and their purpose, for the moment we continue with this type of operations.”
What was seized from alias “Richard”?
At the time of capture, the man had in his possession two pistol-type weapons, clothing for the exclusive use of the public force, rubber boots, six 9 mm cartridges and the motorcycle-type vehicle in which he was traveling.
According to the official, for this mid-year season, checkpoints and operations will be carried out to provide security and tranquility to locals and strangers who come to enjoy this season in the capital.
This man was left in the hands of the competent authorities, accused of the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying a firearm and ammunition.
