This Monday, around 1:30 p.m., rapid police action allowed the capture of a thief who moments before had stolen a computer at Megatone, a location located in the heart of center of the City of Mendoza.
The incident, observed by witnesses and captured and recorded by passers-by, took place at 1200 San Martín Street. While some pedestrians said that there were two criminals and one of them ended up escaping, information from the Ministry of Security revealed that only one person was involved.
The specific thing is that a 21-year-old young man was arrested on the sidewalk of the business, after he entered it and tore off the seals that held a notebook from the structure in which it was displayed.
Once he got hold of the computer he tried to escape, although he was subdued by police personnel a few meters away. They added from Security that the Megatone manager had already called 911.
Once the identity of the arrested for this heistthe authorities specified that he has a criminal record for simple threats with minor intentional injuries and coercion in real competition (12/07/2021), minor injuries (05/25/2023) and whereabouts summons (04/27/2024).
