06/11/2024. ADIUNJu adhered to the measure called by the Trade Union Front of National Universities that demands that the Milei government comply with the increase pattern according to inflation, in addition to the payment of training funds

Without a call to a joint table, public universities throughout the country began a 48-hour strike this Tuesday, a measure that means there are no classes in the province today.

The initiative was proposed by the Trade Union Front of National Universities to which ADIUNJu joined, so during these two days, teachers and non-teachers will comply with the force measure without attending their workplaces, although in parallel they will carry out educational activities. visibility.

Thus, today the union called at 3 p.m. at the union headquarters to continue with the Extraordinary Assembly that began in January, in which the impact of the DNU that Javier Milei signed as soon as he assumed the presidency began to be analyzed, as well as to define actions to follow.

Likewise, at 6:00 p.m. there will be a flyer and a loud noise on the Belgrano pedestrian street.

Regarding Wednesday, the date on which the Senate discusses the Base Law, ADIUNJu along with other unions will march to express their rejection of the package of laws, although the schedule has not yet been defined.

Beyond what happens in Congress, the strike at universities responds to the lack of salary restructuring they suffer in the sector. “Minister Pettovello, in the last joint meeting, promised to process the funds with the Economy and did not comply. She promised a proposal that contemplates the recognition of salary loss, updating the salary guarantee, a monthly increase pattern according to inflation and training funds; and to date she has not offered any proposal,” she stated, detailing that last Thursday the negotiation table had to be met, but that to date no formal joint call has been received.

Adding to the demand is that the FONID be reestablished and that a teaching salary floor be set jointly at the national level.

Finally, they stressed “without decent salaries there is no public university possible.”
