The Salta Library and Archive Complex will be the setting for “The Dimension of the Gaucha War,” an unmissable talk about the participation and importance of the northern militias in the Independence War of the 19th century. It will be led by the prominent self-taught researcher Jorge Adrián Gianella. The event will take place this Wednesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. in the Walter Adet Room, located at Belgrano 1002.
Jorge Gianella He is a renowned researcher with extensive experience in the media, co-author of Efemérides Güemesianas, a work carried out by José de Guardia de Ponté, Eduardo Ceballos and Jorge Gianella. Since 1988, he has collaborated in various newspapers and magazines. Starting in 1993, he directed and hosted the radio programs “As we are” and “Alborada Salteña” in different media in Salta and the Calchaquíes Valleys. Gianella was in charge of several television documentary programs, including ” Desde Adentro “, ” Cucai TV “, ” El Museo en la TV “, ” El Monolito TV ” and ” El Ututo “, which were broadcast on Channel 3 of Jump.
His experience as a thesis advisor at the National Military College and his participation in conferences, conferences and seminars add to his academic and professional prestige. Gianella also manages a blog titled “Güemes, Salta and its History”, which began in June 2016, dedicated to the dissemination of Salta history. Since August of the same year, he has worked at ENACOM as an audiovisual media producer under the name “El Ututo.”
