Its objective is to strengthen the presence of the provincial State in the neighborhoods, to improve detection and approaches in matters of citizen security.
The Minister of Labor and Labor Development, Lucas Castelli, together with his counterpart in Security, Matías Nicolini, signed a collaboration agreement to implement a new prevention program, called “Agents for Citizen Prevention.” It had the endorsement of the general secretary of ATE, Carlos Quintriqueo.
The initiative’s principle is to carry out prevention and detection actions in terms of security, it will have more than 50 state agents arranged in strategic places in the capital of Neuquén, aimed at ensuring citizen coexistence.
Minister Castelli celebrated the agreement: “We are very happy to provide the personnel that until now we were looking to grant them some function. It is a collaborative scheme, where we show the prevention program, and we have proposed to each of these workers if they accepted because they are included in the collective agreement.”
“We always say that work is dignified and it is important that an agreement be made between the two ministries and also with the representative of the ATE workers,” he concluded.
For his part, Minister Nicolini expressed: “We work in a coordinated manner between both ministries to carry out this initiative aimed at training human resources in various topics, aimed at providing a comprehensive service to the community. “Prevention agents and monitors will be trained to act as an early warning in situations and daily tasks that require the intervention of specific areas of the State.”
The general secretary of ATE, Carlos Quintriqueo commented that “after talking with Minister Castelli, we raised the need to make an offer to the worker, and that it not be another imposition, especially for this type of activities where it is necessary count on acceptance, and they did.” Furthermore, he highlighted that “it is a rapprochement between the parties and the colleagues feel recognized and feel the predisposition to collaborate with our community, we are public servants and it is part of our function.”
The Ministry of Labor and Labor Development will transfer personnel that are under its orbit to the Undersecretary of Prevention and Citizen Organization, which will be the agency for implementing the program. In this way, the 50 agents will be put in place, who will have direct contact with the Ministry of Security, in order to resolve the various emerging problems.
