The Municipality presented the action plan of the “Padrinos” program for 2024. This is an initiative that seeks cooperation between the Municipality, the community, companies, organizations and institutions of different kinds that express their willingness to collaborate with actions linked to the conservation of urban heritage, enhancement of public spaces, promotion of art, education, sports, culture, protection and improvement of the environment, health and any other initiative aimed at the development of the city.

The sponsorship actions are part of the Social Responsibility Program of the Municipality of Santa Fe, which was sanctioned by Ordinance No. 11923 but was inactive. The natural or legal persons who want to participate will sign a Social Responsibility agreement with the Municipal Executive, under the guidelines established in the ordinance, and other regulations that are established. Political parties and religious orders are excluded from this program.

Mayor Juan Pablo Poletti, together with the director of Public Communication and Institutional Relations, María Fernanda Vigil; the Cabinet coordinator, Víctor Hadad; and Councilor María Beatriz Barletta, led the program’s reactivation ceremony. The officials provided details about the initiative in terms of its importance, what is established in current regulations and the way to access more information through the municipal website and its dissemination on social networks.

“I especially thank those who participated in this call to be able to work together for the people of Santa Fe, being able to dialogue and agree to be able to implement and revive this idea and achieve a ‘new sponsor’ day by day”said Poletti.

An NGO from the city managed to gather sponsors for a very humble garden in the Varadero Sarsotti neighborhood.

“Without a doubt, the final responsibility will be that of the municipality. Always jointly and in common agreement with the companies that visit us in this launch, reach a consensus with the more than 300 institutions that have given us their support. We want to frame to the city in the 2030 Agenda, together with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), working daily for a more sustainable, more environmental and cleaner city, following the afforestation plan and the eradication of micro-garbage dumps,” Poletti added.

Commitment between all

For her part, Councilor Barletta thanked the mayor for being able to reactivate this initiative by putting this regulation into operation again, also to local companies, social institutions that are part of this project: “We want unity among all, to maintain that synergy between the public and private sectors with the greatest objective that has to do with achieving a better city of Santa Fe and that those involved accompany and collaborate in the activities that arise from the State,” he said.

The articulation between the public and the private makes it possible to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable sectors. The picture is only illustrative.
