The authorities dealt a hard blow to the criminal structure ‘Los Flacos’, with the capture of eight of its members, including one of its main leaders, alias ‘Dabian or The Russian’in the municipality of Seville (Valle del Cauca).
The authorities highlight that this is a significant impact on the structural and financial component of the criminal group, whose monthly profits would exceed 265 million pesos, as a result of their illicit activities related to the sale of narcotics.

Colonel Giovanni Cristancho Zambrano, commander of the Valle Police, explains that these arrests were presented within the framework of the new “Police service oriented towards people and territories, through a investigative process by our uniformed officers from the Criminal Investigation Directorate, Intelligence personnel, Special Operations Group and the Criminal Investigation section assigned to the Valle Police, under the coordination of the Attorney General’s Office.”

“Six search and raid procedures were carried out, which allowed for an important result with the capture of these people who had influence in the northern area of the Valley such as Cartago, Ansermanuevo, and now with criminal extension in the municipalities of Seville and Caicedonia (Valle del Cauca),” adds Commander Cristancho.
The captured
According to the authorities, alias ‘Dabian or El Ruso’ is considered the main area leader in the municipality of Seville. He has a history of more than a decade in the illicit business. According to Police informationthe captured person would have been a member of the criminal group Los Rastrojos y La Cincuenta, which he led in Seville, thanks to his experience.
In Cali and Valle del Cauca the force has increased.

Meanwhile, Rubén Piedraíta or alias ‘Rubén’ was in charge of coordinating local drug trafficking. The rest of the six captured would be part of ‘Los Flacos’, who were charged in prison, required for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crimemanufacturing, trafficking and carrying of firearms, drug trafficking and encouragement of illicit use.

“In the procedure, a firearm, a pistol (traumatic), seven cartridges, 2000 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, 5500 grams of coca base, 6500 grams of marijuana, 600,000 pesos in cash“, two grammers, a pressing machine, a truck, a motorcycle, seven cell phones and a USB storage device,” the officer details.
The authorities’ investigation indicates that ‘Los Flacos’ would have criminal alliances with the Dagoberto Ramos structure, of the dissidentsand the criminal group ‘La Inmaculada’, to acquire narcotics in large quantities that come from Cauca.
“The accused, weapons, vehicles, money and other seized items were left at the disposal of the competent authority, so that they can answer before a judge of the Republic, for the crimes they are accused of, being sheltered with a private measureto freedom in a penitentiary and prison center,” Cristancho concludes.
