Base Law: what changes will there be in retirement if it is approved

One of the most important points of the famous Base Law proposed by Javier Milei is found in article 226, which seeks the repeal of the pension moratorium what he proposes ANSES.

  • The Proportional Retirement Benefit would work like the Universal Benefit for the Elderly, who from the age of 65 collect 80% of a minimum retirement
  • This new system would be intended for men and women aged 65 who have not met the 30 years of mandatory contributions.
  • Those who have already started the pension moratorium process, if the Bases Law is approved, will not have any type of changes or inconveniences in the process
  • The new system is intended to increase according to the number of years contributed to the SIPA and not to charge 80% of a minimum retirement as occurs with PUAM
  • The Executive branch will be the one that determines the number of years required to access this new proportional retirement system

During Wednesday afternoon the Senate will discuss the bill Javier Mileiwhich if approved in the Upper House and obtained sanction with its return to Deputies, will come into force.
