A 4-year-old boy died after falling into the Perete pipe in the Bella Luz village, in the municipality of Chimichagua, Cesar.
According to local authorities, the minor was with his family and approached the tributary to grab water, apparently in a container as is usual in the area, but in a matter of seconds he slipped and was swept away by the current of the river. water.
When his parents realized this, they tried to help him, but the little boy’s body was not found, so they asked for help from fishermen and relief organizations such as Civil Defense, the Chimichagua Fire Department and the National Police.
In this regard, police spokespersons in the department of Cesar indicated that the case was reported to the police station and that officials verified the facts, collecting more information to clarify what happened and establish responsibilities if any.
The Municipal Family Commissioner would also be notified.
The child’s lifeless body was taken to the Inmaculada Concepción Hospital for forensic work.
