‘I’m glad that the real estate cartel is being investigated’: José Luis Fernández

“I am glad that an in-depth investigation is being carried out and that I hope it gives good results,” said deputy José Luis Fernández Martínez, member of the Sustainable Territorial Development Commission of the State Congress when referring to the governor’s statements, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, who revealed that the possible existence of a “real estate cartel” in San Luis Potosí that approved irregular buildings is being investigated.

Fernández Martínez considered that it is evident that in San Luis Potosí in urban matters the best decisions have not been made, since there are constructions that are clearly irregular, and their authorizations could be under scrutiny, especially the vertical ones where It is noted that there are buildings that exceed the number of floors allowed for construction, therefore there could be some irregularity and it would be necessary to see how these licenses and permits were granted.

“I am glad that a thorough investigation is being carried out on this issue and we in Congress will be very attentive to the fact that, in the event that irregularities are detected, that we go to the final consequences, that we avenge the sanctions, and above all insist that sufficient precedents be generated so that this type of actions are not taken again. and the viability of an entire city should not be compromised for the interests of a few,” he explained.

Finally, he mentioned that the truth is that the city of San Luis Potosí is very committed, in many ways, and the western area of the city is booming, including the Sierra de San Miguelito, where extraordinary costs are generated for the city in every sense, therefore the best decisions have not been made and there could be some irregularities that must be investigated.
