The Federal Penitentiary Service participates in the Second Regional Penitentiary Congress

During their presentations, both technically reflected the Institutional situation and the strategies carried out, highlighting that the most important value that the institution has is the human quality and professionalism of the staff.

In this framework, the scene of the penitentiary agent was highlighted as a fundamental actor for the protection of society, against organized crime that commits crimes from Penitentiary establishments.

In addition, they presented to the different penitentiary systems the importance of penitentiary intelligence, its evolution and the challenges in the current context against organized crime that commits crimes from penitentiary establishments. Also during their interventions, both officials highlighted the role of prison staff in decision-making, highlighting the influence of Inspector General Roberto Pettinato, who provided the regulatory frameworks and empirical evidence that transformed institutional management in terms of prison training.

Finally, they reflected that a pending balance at the national level is the lack of continuity in penitentiary policies due to changes in government, along with the need for firm leadership that provides clear institutional support for staff.

Likewise, the two agreed on the importance of articulated work between the different areas along with the development of instruments for classifying and categorizing inmates, aimed at effectively managing resources and security needs.
