The company will reinforce its operation centers and increase technical resources, deploying nearly 170 brigades and more than 500 people, including technicians, supervisors and mobile dispatchers, to address possible contingencies that affect the electricity supply.

Rancagua, June 13, 2024. Given the meteorological projections for the coming days, which indicate precipitation, winds and snow in some sectors of the O’Higgins region, CGE activated its preventive operations plan to respond as expeditiously as possible. electricity supply interruptions that may affect the region.

The plan includes the preparation of operation centers, the deployment of SAE-type emergency response brigades (Emergency Assistance Service) and home care teams, to address supply interruptions that could occur, according to the weather forecast.

CGE will also have heavy brigades dedicated to the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, such as poles and power lines, that will operate on the ground and will also increase the number of emergency care brigades that will be deployed throughout the communes.

During this contingency, the company is prepared to deploy 170 light and heavy brigades and more than 500 technicians, supervisors and administrative personnel in charge of the brigade dispatch to address possible contingencies derived, mainly, from the action of the wind or falling trees, branches or other objects on the electrical network, and that may affect the continuity of the electrical supply in the region.
