“From Cordillera to Mar” was called the launch of the 2024 winter season of the Valparaíso and Metropolitan regions, which took place on the 62nd floor of the Sky Costanera.

Both the Metropolitan region and Valparaíso will receive the largest number of trips in this period. Thus, in the summer season -June 1 to July 31- it is expected that 1,788,898 trips will be made to the Valparaíso region, while in the same period it is expected that the RM will receive 1,597,148 trips.

While during the winter holidays (June 21 to July 6) the RM is expected to receive 668,271 trips, while Valparaíso receives 498,547 trips.

The metropolitan regional director of Sernatur, Claudio Yáñez, indicated that “the tourist does not distinguish geographical limits, therefore, the call is to vacation in winter from mountain range to sea, from winter centers, also the Cajón del Maipo, heritage tourism in the neighborhoods of the central area.”

The regional director of Sernatur Valparaíso, Marcelo Vidal, assured that “for these winter holidays, it is a must-see that we will be able to enjoy in the Valparaíso Region in the mountain range with the oldest ski center in our country, passing through the wine valleys and obviously the coastline, not to forget also Easter Island, which has an important offer to discover its magic.”

Meanwhile, Francisco Godoy, general manager of the Valparaíso Regional Tourism Corporation, said that this alliance “makes known all the tourism offerings we have. The different activities, celebrations, panoramas and tourist services that we have from mountain range to sea. During the last winter holidays we had 54% hotel occupancy in the region, we hope to surpass that this year.”
