After the meeting of the Disaster Risk Management Committee (COGRID), which was chaired by the undersecretary of defense, Ricardo Montero, who indicated that “the measures that have been implemented since last year, after the front that affected the Region from O’Higgins, allowed us to face tonight’s rains in a good way.”

For his part, the presidential delegate Fabio López commented that the “region has resisted quite well, and we have only had to regret minor damages, the most serious thing we have so far are five families that have had to be evacuated in Coltauco as a result of the overflow. of a channel”, indicating that there were eight people who were received at the home of relatives

The delegate added that the other area where there is inconvenience has been in the Puente Negro sector of San Fernando, due to the paralysis of the sewer construction in that area.

In addition, the presidential delegate confirmed that the suspension of classes is maintained.

In this same instance, the Minister of Health, Carolina Torres, indicated that, despite the problems of leaks in different establishments, the health network functions normally and no problems have been generated.
