In the middle of strong frontal system that affects the central-southern area of the country, Carabineros from the 59th Lampa Police Station carried out a rescue of an elderly adult who was trapped in his vehicle due to flooding.
The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. in the El Taco sector of the capital commune. A 74-year-old man, who was heading to work in his cargo vehicle, was trapped in the place when he did not realize the depth of the water.

”Our brave police officers, demonstrating once again their commitment and bravery, immediately went to the scene and managed to rescue this person, ensuring his well-being and safeguarding his life,” declared Major Salvador Caro, commissioner of the 59th Lampa Police Station.
The older adult was rescued without suffering injuries and is in good health. His vehicle was removed from the scene by Carabineros, who continue to monitor risk areas to prevent further incidents.
