As part of the support to the Potosinos of the four regions to access free and quality medical care, the State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF) managed a surgery for a 17-year-old young man, originally from Salinas de Hidalgo.
The patient required operation because it presented problems due to severe nosebleeds for a long time, which hindered the development of their daily activities.
The aid agency achieved this thanks to Collaboration agreement previously established with the Spanish Charity.
Through a statement it was announced that “in accordance with the social support policy of the governor of San Luis Potosí, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, the Coordination of Management and Social Participation of the State DIF, accompanied young Oscar at all timesand the family member who accompanied him.”

To the patient He was provided with shelter, transfers, all medications necessary for recovery, as well as follow-up for postoperative review.
During the process of the intervention that was performed on Oscar by the La Bene San Luis medical team; The general director of the State DIF, Virginia Zúñiga Maldonado, commented that “Support for youth is a task on which the state executive continues to work, as Oscar has confirmed who from now on will be able to enjoy this stage of their life in human development and lay the foundations for a better life.”
Finally, he reiterated that the Coordination of Management and Social Participation of the State DIF managed the procedures to carry out the intervention thanks to the agreement with the Spanish Charity.
