Who is Rafael, victim of the motorcycle bomb explosion in Jamundí?

The news program 90 Minutes learned about the story of Don Rafael Gonzáleza Venezuelan citizen who was a victim of the most recent explosive attack in Jamundí.

In conversation with Ángel Antonio González, youngest son of Rafaelmore details were learned about the story of one of the victims of the wave of violence recorded in the municipality of Jamundí.

Thus, the youngest son of this man narrated how, as a result of the Venezuelan political crisis headed to Colombia:

“We decided to leave and go to where we could be better. We didn’t have a specific place to go or what to do. We walk, we experience cold, heat and blisters on our feet.”

Ángel said that, during the long journey, he and his father They met “warm” people who gave them food and help.

However, they were ‘rigged’ in Jamundí due to the human warmth that exists among its inhabitants.

“From the moment we arrived in Jamundí we began to meet people and they immediately began to ‘give us a hand’. We started working and saw that it was very different from Cúcuta. For this reason, we decided to stay in Jamundí.”

It was in this municipality where Rafael began to ‘earn a living’. One of his jobs was as a caretaker of cars and motorcycles, which he did only in shifts, since the position did not belong to him.

“The rest of the time he was recycling or running errands. Sometimes, when he no longer had anything to do, he would start selling sweets and thus he would make ends meet.”

According to Ángel, his father must feel at this moment “powerless, for not being able to work and do the things he always does.”

“Huging him again and having him back again more than anything. Nothing in this world can buy the life of a human being.”
