For weeks now, powdered milk that is about to expire and that remained stored in warehouses has been distributed throughout the country. Human Capital signed an agreement with CONIN so that the milk reaches dining rooms throughout the country and is intended for children. A huge amount is being distributed in Mendoza, which received a good percentage since the foundation has its headquarters in the province. They report that milk is already being sold on social networks.
During this Thursday afternoon the Conin Foundation reported that there are associations or individuals who are offering the milk powder that distributed Human Capital to Mendoza for commercial or sales purposes. This food is a key food that was going to be destined for children in vulnerable situations and the sale of milk will not make that possible, in addition, it is committing a crime. That is why CONIN went to court and is advancing the investigation.
The executive director of CONIN, Diego Álvarez, confirmed to MDZ that: “We already filed a complaint a few hours ago to investigate misappropriation of public funds, we realized because the Police saw that when the delivery was made there was a sale. There is also a sale through Marketplace and there are civil associations that are charging their associates milk, which hurts me much more.
“The delivery didn’t even take 24 hours and there is already a sale, it is something that can happen but this is a shame. We are talking about milk that was for children who are in a very fragile situation, you don’t play with this, people have to to know that you should not pay a single peso for milk, that you should approach CONIN and there we will give you powdered milk in the way it should be delivered and without charging,” Álvarez added.
The complaint was made official at Tax Office number 6 of Las Heras and the cover of the complaint, as MDZ learned, is for investigation of fraud to the detriment of the public administration. Human Capital, which responds to the national government, brought thousands of kilos of powdered milk to Mendoza through the Army so that CONIN could later distribute them. However, a few hours later the milk appeared published and that unleashed indignation from both the foundation and those who came across the posts on social networks about the marketing of milk.
“We received 87 thousand boxes of milk and today we saw that there were publications. It is sold at a lower price, but it should not happen. We deliver to the associations that had legal status that have their registration and what they have told us is that those The same associations are selling their members who go to their dining rooms. It is outrageous,” Álvarez clarified to MDZ.
And he added: “The anonymity of Marketplace is dangerous, we hope to find these people. They could be the same people who went to collect the milk or also the associations. There are many children with malnutrition, so embezzling this milk is outrageous and painful.”
