A 46-year-old man who had been injured in a shootout in the Los Plátanos neighborhood of the city of Córdoba, died this Thursday night, becoming the second crime in the caseaccording to police sources.

Confrontation in Los Plátanos

The case was recorded on May 30 at night at the door of a house located in Luis Agote at 3500 when, according to the testimony of a young woman (19), while she was with two relatives aged 33 and 46, another man identified as Christian “Coquito” Torres arrived in a Toyota Corolla.

The woman indicated that, hours before, her brother Lucas López and Torres had had a fight, which sparked the subsequent shooting attack. López, 33, suffered a head injury. Meanwhile, Pablo Saucedo was wounded in the groin.

The complainant’s brother, with whom Torres had apparently had the dispute, took the injured to the Police Polyclinic, where they were treated. The 44-year-old was taken to the Emergency Hospital and the other, shot in the head with loss of brain mass, was transferred to the San Roque hospital where his death was confirmed this afternoon.

Subsequently, Torres (who had an active arrest warrant) notified some police officers from Parque Liceo Segunda Seccion (where he resides) that he had participated in a fight with gunshots and that he was injured in one of his legs. He was taken to the Elpidio Torres Hospital with a gunshot wound with an entry and exit hole and a fractured tibia in his right leg. He was hospitalized, stable and in police custody.

In the area where the shooting occurred, the officers located 12 nine-millimeter caliber shells and observed blood stains.

In the case led by the District 4, Shift 1 prosecutor, Ernesto De Aragón, the death of Saucedo was confirmed, recorded on Thursday night at the Emergency Hospital. He was admitted to intensive care for the injury.
