The furniture, ornamentation and signage of the World Circular Economy Summit was made with recycled material

As is usual in this international event, for the IV World Summit on Circular Economy the municipality planned the design of its furniture, ornaments and signage with an environmental perspective: signage, tables, chairs, utensils, entrance porches and the different structures They were made with more than 800 kg of recycled material.

All this equipment will be returned to the Circular Economy model to give it a new use, a true virtuous circle of environmental care and conscious use of resources.

This is possible thanks to the work of the Municipal School of Circular Economy (EMEC), an educational and work space dedicated to environmental care, managed by the municipality through the Ente BioCórdoba.

The interior signage is primarily made from printed cardboard, biovinyl cardboard, recycled cardstock and Tyvek fabric, which is 100% compostable.

The lightweight structures are made with recycled wood, while those that require greater weight were designed with pipe, which are also entirely reused.

The exterior signage, on the other hand, was entirely built from pipe, which allows the structure to stand more firmly.

In addition, this year the ecological canvas was incorporated, an innovative material that degrades by itself between 60 to 90 days, so it does not generate waste that is difficult to treat.

The tables and chairs used in the conferences and in the Circular Experiences talks were also made with recycled material, in the same way the entrance structure that receives visitors was built with recyclables.

This includes the pipes, the pots, the fabrics and all the elements that adorn the environment of the Fair Complex, where the Summit takes place until this Saturday, June 15.

In this way, the Summit stands as an example in itself of the Circular Economy, reflecting the serious commitment of the current management to caring for the environment.

The EMEC plays an important role in the work on the Circular Economy in Córdoba: it provides furniture to municipal gardens and schools, receives guided tours of its facilities and makes recycled material available to entrepreneurs and fairground vendors through its brand new Materials Market. the first in the country.
