Today, in the main kitchen of the Salta Convention Center, the qualifying round of the “Federal Chefs Tournament” was held, an event organized by the Hotel and Gastronomic Business Federation of Argentina (FEHGRA).

The Hotel Alejandro I came in second place with 97 points, while the Hotel Casa Real, with 101, was ranked first. Both will represent the province in the national final that will take place within the framework of HOTELGA, from August 28 to 30, in La Rural, City of Buenos Aires.

Chefs Luciano Nanni and Pablo Epstein, along with Patricia Balderrama, owner of Peña Boliche Balderrama, were the judges on the occasion. Then, the coordinator of the Tourism Entity, Fernando García Soria, Carlos Mellano, vice president of FEHGRA, Raúl Kotler, NOA regional coordinator of FEHGRA, Juan Lucero, president of the Gastronomic and Related Hotel Chamber of Salta and Freddy Soria were present at the award ceremony. , from the same entity.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of the Tourism Entity, delivered the declaration of municipal tourist interest, thanked and highlighted the alliance between the Municipality, FEHGRA, and the CHG, and added: “We are going to work to make Salta a gastronomic city where we enhance our flavors and culinary traditions.”

For his part, the president of the Salta Hotel, Gastronomic and Related Chamber, expressed: “We have a gastronomic destination that is growing and we want it to continue on that path. This progress fills me with pride and makes me very happy. We have to get more and more people to come to know Salta for our gastronomy and we are going to achieve it all together.”

The chefs who participated were Catalina Gerón, Cristina Calpanchay, Esteban Cruz, Alejandra Ferronis, Rosa Ramos, Nazaria Tolaba, Claudio Rodó, Juan Manuel Godoy, Rodrigo Reynoso and Pablo Cárdenas.
