The executive director of the YPF Foundation, Gustavo Schiappacasse, met in Bariloche with the authorities of the Balseiro Institute (IB) and Invap to the signing of an educational agreement with both institutions. They project activities to be carried out during 2024 and 2025. Among them, scholarships and financing for technology competitions stand out.
The main initiatives in which YPF Foundation scholarship recipients participate, They are the so-called IB Summer scholarships. Students work in Physics and Engineering laboratories at the Bariloche Atomic Center and also in the Bootcamp, Business Plan for Technological Projects, where they train as technological entrepreneurs.
During February, 10 young people from universities in Argentina participated in the Summer scholarships and completed practices in laboratories of the Bariloche Atomic Center. In the 2024 edition, there were more than 300 applicants, both from Argentina and the rest of Latin America.
At the same time, the YPF Foundation collaborates with the IB50K contest, which invites young people to apply for technology-based Business Plans. During the day, the YPF Foundation authorities met with Ignacio Grossi, Deputy General Manager of Strategy at Invap, and Alicia Vallejo, director of the Invap Foundation.

South Experience is an “immersion program intended for university students from the YPF Foundation Scholarship program, where Participants share a week of immersion in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. The proposal of activities is intended to deepen the role of science and technology,” they expressed from the Invap Foundation.
