After a series of warm days and even with the presence of Zonda wind in San Juan, now the National Meteorological Service (SMN) predicted that a cold front is coming that will be felt more strongly on Thursday, June 20, announcing the arrival of the winter.

The SMN report predicts that this Saturday the maximum will reach 18° C, with a light breeze from the South sector and partly cloudy skies for much of the day. For this Sunday, June 16, Father’s Day, the sky is expected to be a little clearer, with a maximum temperature calculated at 17° C.

For Monday, June 17, a holiday commemorating the death of General Martín Miguel de Güemes, the forecast anticipates a more pleasant day, thanks to the arrival of northerly winds, which could reach a maximum speed of up to 20 kilometers per hour. For this day the expected maximum will reach 19° C and the sky will be partly cloudy.

On Tuesday the temperature will rise slightly to reach 20° C. The sky will be partly cloudy and a southerly wind is expected to arrive at night that would be around 30 kilometers per hour.

For Wednesday, June 19, the imminent arrival of winter will be felt with a noticeable drop in temperature, which on this day would reach 16° C. In the afternoon, the sky will be mostly cloudy and the south wind is expected reach an average speed of about 20 kilometers per hour.

On Thursday, June 20, a holiday commemorating the death of General Manuel Belgrano – Flag Day – the day will be cloudy, giving way to a cold day in which the maximum will touch 11º C. The clouds will not give way to the sunrise and the wind from the South will accompany the arrival of the coldest season of the year.

On Friday, June 21, which was declared a long weekend holiday, the sky will remain cloudy, although the south wind will gain strength, giving way to a maximum of just 11º C. No rain is expected to occur during these days.
