They establish an alliance to bring social investment to the communities of the San Jorge subregion

The Governors’ Summit was the setting for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Government of Córdoba and Fenalcarbon, an organization that brings together companies in the energy mining sector, with which it is sought that, through the figure of works for taxes , that companies that generate energy from coal in the San Jorge region invest in projects of social impact for the communities in this area.

The governor of Córdoba, Erasmo Zuleta Bechara and the President of Fenalcarbón, Carlos Andrés Cante, sealed this alliance that will allow closing social gaps with impact projects for the families who live in San Jorge, Córdoba.

To consolidate this alliance, the Government, through its Secretariat of Mines and Energy and the Social Development Management, held several work tables in which progress was made in the identification of works that can be executed through the mechanism of works by taxes.

Recently, Governor Erasmo Zuleta Bechara led the first Energy Mining Forum, Córdoba More Sustainable, in which he managed to convene executives from national organizations, from the public and private sectors, to talk about how to continue advancing in the energy transition and about the social responsibility that companies that exploit the natural resources of the department have.
