The documentary series “Nahir: The Secret of a Crime” comes to Amazon Prime Video. Kapow created this production initially for Paramount, and follows the success of the film about Nahir Galarza, the young woman sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Fernando Pastorizzo.
Galarza’s story continues to capture the public’s attention with two books, a film and now this two-part documentary series. This new installment promises a more intimate and revealing approach, presenting direct testimonies from the prison where Nahir is serving his sentence.
Not only does the documentary series present Nahir’s version, who in eight hours of recording proclaims his innocence and points out irregularities in the judicial investigation, but it also features interviews with key figures in the case.
Among them is his spokesperson and media manager, Jorge Zonzini, who suggested in his book “The Silence of Nahir, Chronicle of a Media Lynching” that Nahir covered up his father as the true author of the crime. In addition, testimonies from his parents, Marcelo Galarza and Yamina Kroh, his lawyer José Ostolaza, and two teenage friends are also included.
The voices of the victim’s mother, Fernando Pastorizzo, Silvia Mantegazza, his lawyer Rubén Virué, and close friends are collected in the series, offering a broad and detailed perspective of the case.
The premiere of the audiovisual material generated great expectations. The platform where it will be available is confident that the series will exceed the audience levels of the film, seen in 150 countries.
