On the morning of this Sunday, June 16, the Attorney General’s Office referred to the fact that representatives of the Special Investigation Unit (UEI) presented two men before guarantee control judges, who would be involved in the crime of a peace signer and a communal leader, in Caquetá and Chocó, respectively.
According to the prosecuting body, Wilson Soto Barrera for his possible
participation in the murder of the peace signer, Jairo Alberto Losada Aldana, recorded on May 5, 2018, in Curillo (Caquetá).
According to the investigation, this man allegedly transported the person who shot the victim on a motorcycle and helped him escape from the scene.
In that sense, He was charged with the crime of homicide, a charge that was accepted. The guarantee control judge who directed the concentrated hearings imposed a security measure on him in a prison facility.

Prison for ‘Mou’
In a second case, at the request of a UEI prosecutor, a guarantee control judge imposed a security measure in prison on Duan Alberto Córdoba Girón, alias Mou, who would be responsible for the crime of the community leader José Eduardo Cárdenas Mosquerawhich happened on March 19, 2023, in the La Subestación neighborhood, in Quibdó (Chocó).
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the evidence indicates that Córdoba Girón, in the company of two other armed men, ““He attacked the victim with a firearm and caused a wound to his neck.”
The Prosecutor’s Office charged alias Mou with the crimes of aggravated homicide, and manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
With this result, three people have been prosecuted for the murder of the community leader, who served as president of the Community Action Board (JAC) of the La Subestación neighborhood.
