Rodrigo Contreras (NU Colombia) continues as leader of the edition 77 of the Tour of Colombia after arrival in Tocancipá. The rider from Cundinamarca maintains the lead of the race after a stage that was resolved in a sprint, where he came in fourth place.

The day of This Sunday, June 16, it was won by Alejandro Osorio (GW Shimano). The corridor won the competition that had a 139-kilometer route starting in Paipa and finish in the municipality of Tocancipá, near the city of Bogotá.

The cyclist clocked a time of 03:16:47 on a quite demanding route from the department of Boyacá to the outskirts of the city of Bogotá. Adrián Bustamante (GW Shimano) was second with the same time and the podium was completed by Jhonatan Chaves (NU Colombia) without losing differences in the stopwatch.

Although the day was spent in water and there were several escape attempts, they were all controlled by the leader’s group. Contreras and NU Colombia controlled the race to maintain the lead. In second place overall is Diego Camargo (Petrolike) 42 seconds behind. Adrián Bustamante (GW Erco Shimano) climbed to third position with a 46” difference.

For the stage 3 This Monday, the platoon will take off on the outskirts of the city of Bogotá, in the municipality of Dimension. There the platoon will travel 168 kilometers from the savanna of the capital to connect with the municipality of Ladybug, in the department of Tolima.
