The one in the north was in San Antonio and the one in the south was in La Cava. The neighborhoods of Logroño once again experienced a weekend of festivities. Those from La Cava have been celebrating since Friday and have even added, to their program, a concert of a tribute to Mecano. This Sunday, the neighbors had, as usual, some giant inflatables with water and a very popular foam party. Just in case there were those who wanted more, the aquatic sessions were in the morning and afternoon. The end of the celebrations came later with the performance of Tinín the Magician.

Although the residents of San Antonio also closed the festivities that, in this case, had started on Thursday late in the afternoon, they still have more to go because on the same sign they already announce the traditional bonfire of San Juan next Sunday.

Until that date arrives, Sunday was dedicated, among other things, to tasting a brotherhood meal after a flower workshop and having enjoyed the tragantua.

The image of the Blanca Paloma presides over the pilgrimage of Roceros from Rioja to the La Grajera park. Family, neighbors and friends, in the San Antonio neighborhood.

In La Grajera there was no shortage of partying either. It was called by the Casa de Andalucía and had already begun on Saturday, when a mass was celebrated in honor of the Blanca Paloma in the parish of Valvanera, a proclamation and a procession to the headquarters of the Casa de Andalucía in La Rioja (on Vélez street of Guevara).

This Sunday was the traditional pilgrimage to La Grajera park from the headquarters of the House. As usual, the equestrian delegation left early in the morning with saddles and carriages through the center of the city towards the park on the outskirts with its usual Rioja-Rociero atmosphere. Tradition dictates that you stop along the way to have lunch and, upon arriving in front of the niche with the image of the Virgin, say the greeting and pray the Angelus. The main event was the Rocera mass at 12:30 p.m. and, throughout the day, Andalusian songs and dances did not stop playing.

Next weekend is also very lively with festivities in honor of San Juan. In addition to the street that bears the name of the saint and the aforementioned San Antonio, Yagüe, Lobete, El Cubo, La Estrella… Because San Juan does decentralize the celebrations, in this case, based on the traditional fire that raises.
