For about six months The Public Ministry was following the steps of the accused who were dedicated to the buying and selling drugs operating in a large part of the province of Curicó.

In this way, the prosecution obtained an order to enter and search the properties of these subjects, which was carried out by detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Brigade of that commune, achieving the arrest of David Andrés Reyes Farias and Marco Aurelio Díaz Barra.

The prosecutor Juan Pablo Araya in charge of the investigation, pointed out that, “the defendants were formalized for the crimes of drug trafficking and violation of the firearms control law. For considering that his freedom constitutes a danger to the security of societythe prosecution requested preventive detention for both, which was decreed by the court and an investigation period of four months was set from this date.

“Specialized personnel from this brigade, together with the Public Ministry, developed an investigation with the aim of dismantle part of a criminal structure, that operated here in the province of Curicó, dedicated to drug trafficking. For this reason, yesterday afternoon, two entries and searches of properties were carried out, resulting in the arrest of two adult Chilean subjects and the seizure of more than 11 kilos of processed cannabisweapons, cash and other species, proceeds of illicit activity,” said Commissioner Mario Matta of the Brianco de Curicó.

A new procedure against a couple of subjects in whose possession a large amount of drugs is seized and who end up in prison.
