The General Customs of the Republic updated its ‘Passenger Pre-Clearance’ application with the objective of “expediting clearance upon arrival in the country.”

This was reported by the state entity on its social networks and advised travelers to the island to download it from its website and use it to pack their luggage.

Among the advantages offered by this application, Customs included the packing of luggage “without exceeding import limits.”

In addition, he insisted that it is a way that “will speed up your stay in our lounges” and its use will allow you to be “attended by our customs personnel who are waiting for you so that your departure is quick.”

They also affirm that the app “is a fast and safe way that will allow quality service” and will allow travelers to dispatch “quickly and transparently.”

Finally, Customs reminded that when the Pre-clearance is completed, a QR code or quick response will appear that must be saved for your arrival at the airport.

In 2018, General Customs made this application available to those traveling to the island, which was created for use by travelers who intend to make a non-commercial import.

The app, as explained, makes it easier to know the customs regulations related to the quantities of items allowed to be imported, their reference value and the amount of customs duties that must be paid, all with the aim of having a pre-clearance process for a efficient and simple way.
