The Government of Antioquia is working on building a military bridge that allows temporary passage.
The heavy rains that hit the Urabá region of Antioquia caused the collapse of “Puente Largo”, located in the Campamento village, La Sucia sector.

According to Mayor Agapito Murillo, between 6,500 and 7,000 people are affected.For this reason, the Government of Antioquia, through the Infrastructure Secretariat, works in the area in coordination with the national Risk Unit to find temporary solutions and reestablish communication between the affected communities.

In that sense,A military bridge will be installed to allow a provisional crossing to be reestablished.This was what Peterson Tréllez, Secretary of Planning and Works of Carepa, explained.
“For itWe evaluated the length of the bridge, it is 70 meters and the central support of this bridge was exact. So, the aim is to be able to organize two sections of military bridges, both 35 meters apart.It would be necessary to create support structures for it, to be able to recover mobility in the sector as soon as possible,” he explained.
